FULVIO TORNESE
“ Te encontraré dice ese hombre caminando a tientas en la niebla. La atmósfera es rara, irreal, su misterio es tangible”. Y es propio en este intrincado camino que se aventura una nueva fase de la vida artística de Fulvio Tornese, que se inaugura hoy con una muestra personal en España, en la Galeria Red 03 de Barcelona, curada por Marcela Jardón y con la dirección artística de Carla Pinto. En esta presentación el protagonista es un hombre, cuyas formas y proporciones superan los límites del equilibrio, y representan a través de su propia aparencia imponente, de “Gigante”, muchas facetas de la condición humana. Búsqueda, introspección, vanidad y pequeñas debilidades son los rasgos distintivos de esos personajes solitarios que transitan en el típico escenario de Tornese, creado de colores surreales, vivos, en espacios sin tiempo ni medida. Así solitario deambula el “Rabdomante” buscando agua, fluctuando ligero en el aire como en el “Estasi”, sin embargo conciente de la “Difícil arte de volar”, mientras el proscenio todavía es la ciudad ideal, en la que el pintor establece un singular equilibrio entre pasión y profesión. Fulvio Tornese nació en Lecce, ciudad donde vive y ejercita la profesión de arquitecto, la cual se funde felizmente con su pasión por la pintura, que siempre lo acompaña y a la que desde joven se dedicó con constancia. Presente entre los protagonistas del escenario artístico contemporaneo desde los años Ochenta, sus obras se encuentran en colecciónes públicas y privadas.

If eyes are the windows to the soul, Seftel’s Paintings are windows to the body and mind of time. Soft blues and earthly metals capture the dynamic elements of a process breaking down. In great complexity and simplicity, the winds of our global change shift through the surface of the canvases. Absorbing and reflecting like a sail upon the mind, the naturally forming blues and greens breathe upon the painted metal canvas. With the use of mineral salts and oxidizing metal pigments, the language of marks form a time washed texture on the canvas. Seeing moments collective and singular, future history and collective past emerge. Drawing together a story, a kind of telling of time unfolding, the thought remains Art and artifact as on canvas.
Working with organic chemical elements, ideas, objects and artifacts, Seftel is creating for the future a history of what remains. In the best paintings and dreams, there is a ‘seeing through’ moment, and the intent for this painting installation is dreamlike, for it become a vehicle to transport ones thought and feelings to a new way of place of being.
